This photo of Ogechukwu was taken in the late morning to give the image a bold and mysterious tone. The angle of the sun allowed me to position him in a way that created these repetitive diagonal lines of shadows. The dark shadows on the bottom grounds the image while the tree branch on the top draws the eye back up.

This image of Tinny was created using contractor paper, duct tape, and my garage for the background. In photoshop, I was able to remove seams and smooth out the background. I had her wear all black clothing, gave her a blunt middle part, and slicked back her hair to give her more of a ‘harsh’ look. I balance this out by editing the image pink and adding a warm yellow-orange circular glow around her.
